For the occasion of the celebration of the two centuries of the United Mennonite congregation in Alkmaar this book has been published about the rich history of the church building, that was built for the Mennonite Waterlander congregation in 1617. It is a typical regional North-Holland church buidling, with thin brick walls, big windows and an impressive roof with a 17th century roof construction of heavy pine-wood rafters with numeral marks. Besides the church building, that received in 1853/1854 a new front in new classicism style, the book describes also the other buildings, like the usher's house (1856), the church board room (1915) and the Menno meetingroom(1960). Together they enclose a cosy front area witha pointed oval flowerbed, that excists already since 1856. Inside the building visualy the leaded windows (1908 and 1965) dominate.
